Its been a strange time here at LEVEL (as it has for the entire world). The whole team are working from home and while we are missing our regular participants and our spacious building, we have been working hard to bring some of our projects to life online. Our aim has been to reach those we know in innovative ways and to engage with a new audience during these unprecedented times . . . . . .

We have been using this time to think and plan what we could bring to people in this new screen based world. We are asking ourselves how bringing a 3D experience into a 2D medium (contained on a screen) can offer new perspectives and interesting ways of engaging with the human form and body. After a lot of testing and rehearsing we have launched NUDE which is an exciting take on  traditional life drawing combined with performance. These events provide unique opportunities to sketch, draw and mark paper in response to improvised performances by a nude performer/model exploring a loose theme of ‘Containment’. Sessions can be untutored with the option to be guided by artist Georgia Peskett and are open to all aged 16+. We are really pleased with the uptake so far and delighted that NUDE has featured in the Social Distancing Festival.
