VISUAL ARTS ONLINE

Wednesdays 11am – 12pm/2pm – 3pm

Wednesdays 11am – 12pm & 2pm – 3pm

LEVEL Visual Arts sessions are currently taking place online using Zoom. These hour-long events are a creative, sociable, accessible and interactive opportunity for adults with a learning disability. Led by professional artist Georgia Peskett, LEVEL’s visual arts sessions provide a virtual space to explore, experiment and create through the use of easy-to-access materials and expert guidance. Our group sessions are small (up to 8 participants), friendly and creative. Participants are welcome to bring their own ideas of what they would like to create and we will do our best to facilitate these. For some sessions where specific resources are required, we can send out resource packs free of charge or for a voluntary donation.

Sessions Provide:

  • Time to socialise
  • Create your own work
  • Share your work
  • All materials needed posted to you
  • Build confidence
  • Discover new techniques
  • Publish your work

Each 6 week block of sessions focuses on a new topic, something interesting and fun to get stuck into. We plan, gather resources and create unique work together week by week.

During the latest block, we have been making calendars to either give as gifts or keep us organised through the next 12 months – a really great end of year project! Our artists have been inspired by their own interests, their favourite artists and scenes from different seasons.

During the last block in Autumn, we focused on making masks inspired by our participants interests. We’ve had the Green Man with real leaves, Vincent Van Gogh and his stylistic brush strokes and a few nods to Halloween with Roald Dahls ‘The Witches’, the 90’s classic movie ‘Hocus Pocus’ and some pumpkin faces thrown in for some spooky fun.
