PlayLAND

PlayLAND is the new exhibition by Derby-based PlayLAB artist John Whall. A fun interactive installation, PlayLAND brings the world of outdoor play inside Level Centre building, inviting you to play, sense and immerse yourself in a playful relaxing world.
Made with Level participants, this exhibition continues John’s artistic journey to bring community made artwork to gallery audiences through high quality digital experiences.
Booking
Open Monday – Friday from 11 January to 12 April 24.
Tickets are FREE, but please book in advance.
Bookings are for up to eight people (including carers if required) for a 45 minute visit. You only need to make one booking for you and your group. When you book for PlayLAND you’ll have exclusive use of the installation for 45 minutes, but you can book a double slot if you need more time.
Please select your preferred date and time in the booking calendar opposite. You’ll receive an automated email confirming your booking which also gives you the option to rearrange if required.
Digital Participation Artist: John Whall
John Whall is a Digital Participation Artist, Curator and Producer based in Derby. He uses digital tools and materials to creatively engage audiences with arts and contemporary culture. An experienced performer and visual practitioner, John’s work explores participation through collaborative and co-creative practices, with a focus on the process of creating together.
John was recently supported by the Arts Council England’s Developing Your Own Creative Practice fund and LEVEL’s Residency Lab, where he explored participant led co-creation in immersive spaces.
He also provides specialist sector support through digital skills, knowledge and experience, to help participatory, learning and socially engaged organisations to realise their digital ambitions.
