This year, Level Centre is applying to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign. We’re hoping to raise £5000 towards a new Sensory Arts Festival for people with Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities and Learning Disabilities in Derbyshire.
Level celebrates the art that ‘difference’ makes. Everything we do has a value, going beyond creativity offering experiences that make a difference.
Sensory Arts Festival
We believe that everyone should have access to high quality art experiences, but events specifically for people with Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities and Learning Disabilities are rare, especially in rural areas. We want to establish a Sensory Arts Festival that will inspire individual creativity, creating memories that can be shared with family, friends, carers and support workers. Your donation will help us work with specialist artists to make our very first Sensory Arts Festival a truly magical event.
The pandemic has had a significant impact on people living with Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities. Many have been unable to meet others and face the additional challenge of being rurally based. Our aim is that the festival will improve people’s wellbeing and support connectivity.
The Sensory Arts Festival will also give parents and carers the chance to connect over a cup of tea, creating a sensory supportive space to make friends and share experiences. We’ll dedicate some sessions to giving parents, carers and support staff chance to develop their creativity, connect and unwind.
One donation, twice the impact.
We’re looking for donors to support this campaign and make promises of funding, called ‘Pledges’. We’re aiming to raise a total of £1250 in pledges by 2 September 2022. This will allow us to move through to the next stage, where these pledges are used as match funds to double any online donations made to our charity during the campaign. Your commitment to funding might also help us unlock additional match funds through a ‘Champion’ sourced by the Big Give.
Would you consider making a pledge of £100 or £250 to help us reach our target?
If you would be willing to make a pledge to us, please complete the online form by 5pm on Friday 2 September. Remember, your one donation has twice the impact, so your pledge could help us double your support.
If you have questions about the Christmas Challenge and what being a pledger could mean to Level Centre, please email: email@example.com
