GLISTEN Fest
Tuesday 15 – Saturday 19 October 2024
A sparkly, sensory festival filled with light and sound for people with Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Learning Disabilities. GLISTEN Fest has been designed to ignite the senses, inspire creativity and create memories that can be shared with family, friends and carers!
There are different sensory experiences by the wonderful Soundplay Projects depending when you visit, the perfect excuse to come more than once! You can relax in our chilled out Sensory Space or drop in and visit Is This Me?, our new interactive installation filled with fantastical fun.

What’s on?
We have two digital sensory highlights during GLISTEN Fest, the amazing Soundplay Dome and Ambient Arcade! The Soundplay Dome is open Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 October and the Soundplay Ambient Arcade is open Thursday 17, Friday 18 and Saturday 19 October.
There will also be a relaxing, chilled out Sensory Space, and an area for parents and carers to unwind. You can also drop in and visit our wonderful new interactive installation Is This Me?, full of fantastical and fun experiences!
How to book
To make sure everyone gets the most from their visit, places are limited so please book in advance. Open session tickets are £5 which gives access for TWO people (i.e. a participant and family member/carer, a pair of family members or friends etc). You will share the space with others. Scroll down to book!
Groups may book out the whole centre. Group tickets are £25. Please contact us directly to book your dedicated group session. Email us: info@levelcentre.com or give us a call on 01629 734848.

Soundplay Dome
The Soundplay Dome is an interactive sensory space, a unique environment that is accessible to all. It’s a space that allows everyone to play with music and light in a collaborative environment. Using touch, sound and light, the Dome encourages creative expression whilst having fun!
Sessions in the Dome last around 30 minutes and are lead by Soundplay’s experienced facilitators. The Dome can be used by up to 8 people at a time (max 3 wheelchairs). You can also access our relaxing Sensory Space and our interactive installation Is This Me? during your visit.
Please book in advance. Each ticket gives access for TWO visitors. Select your preferred date and time in the booking calendar. You’ll receive an automated email confirming your booking which also gives you the option to rearrange if required and another slot is available.
Soundplay Ambient Arcade
The Soundplay Ambient Arcade is a playful mixture of sound-making sculptures, electronic music, video synthesisers and sensory play. Make amazing sounds, enjoy colourful animations and explore different ways to communicate through music and sensory play! (includes flashing animations and overlapping sounds).
Sessions in the Arcade last around 30 minutes and are lead by Soundplay’s experienced facilitators. The Arcade can be used by up to 16 people at a time. You can also access our relaxing Sensory Space and our interactive installation Is This Me? during your visit.

We’ve been able to create GLISTEN Fest 2024 with support from generous donations through The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2023.
We believe that everyone should have access to high quality art experiences, but events specifically for people with Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities and Learning Disabilities are rare, especially in rural areas. Through GLISTEN Fest we hope to inspire individual creativity and create memories that can be shared with family, friends and carers.
