“What a fantastic 2 weeks it has been at the LEVEL centre dedicating time to not only a hands on make, but the development of workshop skills and a final show. I can say that my expectations were met and exceeded, I learnt a lot about the multiplicity of my practice and how this can be adapted and celebrated in various ways throughout ongoing sectors. Shadia Houssein
Shadia is a mixed media artist who creates contemporary installations that challenge the conventional use of objects and explores environmental themes. During her residency, Shadia created a multi-sensory interactive space using repurposed materials and delivered workshops with learning disabled adults.
On Friday 5 November 2021 she held a temporary installation that was open to the public and showcased Shadia’s work during her residency at Level.
