This October we’re thrilled to bring you LEVEL Fest!, a month long celebration of festivals and national events taking place at our centre! We are open every Saturday throughout October with a range of fabulous events including:

Our LEVEL Fest! events programme has something for everyone to enjoy. Come along this October and join in the fun:

GLISTEN Fest:

Friday 10 October – Saturday 18 October

GLISTEN Fest is our annual sensory festival designed for people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), their families, friends, and carers
This year we’re excited to bring you Drift, an amazing interactive multi-sensory experience where the audience can help to shape to story!
Join our facilitated sensory sessions and be transported through a world of light and sound around the theme of Starry nights!

The Big Draw Open Day:

Saturday 25 October 11am – 3pm

The Big Draw Festival is all about having fun through creativity – this years theme is ‘Drawn Together’
All sorts of creative activities to take part in and enjoy together!
Free to attend and suitable for all ages
Enjoy our exhibitions and interactive installation Wishing Well which are open all day

Secret Freedoms Celebration Day:

Saturday 1 November 11am – 3pm

Celebrate Secret Freedoms with us! Part of a national project reflecting on what freedom means to our community 80 years after the end of WWII
Inspired by Matlock’s fascinating history – home to the School of Military Intelligence, and the Matlock Secret Army
A community project all about bringing people together
A full day of events at LEVEL Centre, Darley Dale Station and on Peak Rail! Ride the Secret Freedoms Express!

Wishing Well:

16 September 2025 – 9 January 2026

Our latest interactive installation is a fun, sensory and peaceful space, filled with characters, visuals and animations!
Come and visit Wishing Well and be transported to the tranquil imaginary village of ‘Levelover’
Look inside our well and make your own wish! Then help our busy villagers create a beautiful Well Dressing
Accessible and suitable for all including school groups and families.
